Glacier Youth Hockey League

Youth House League | Adult Hockey | Travel Hockey | Other Hockey Programs

Glacier Ice's Youth Hockey Program is open to children as young as 4 years old to 18 years of old. Everyone is welcome to play, no experience is needed. We have programs for the true beginner, recreational teams for those looking to have a great experience and a lot of fun. We also have travel hockey teams for those interested in more competitive hockey. Hockey is the coolest game around!

Hockey provides a wonderful opportunity for youth to experience the excitement and accomplishment of sport through competition. Players gain first hand experiences that will service them throughout their lives. Your child will accomplish goals with their teammates. They will experience learning and the satisfaction of personal development.. Without realizing it, they will learn problem-solving, strategic thinking, and how to analyze and deal with complex situations.

Additionally, lifelong friendships are formed among players and families.
Players will learn and develop the following skills: skating, puck-control, passing, shooting, team play, and sportsmanship. All games, practices, and clinic, will be played under USA Hockey Guidelines. A full set of equipment is required to play.

Youth Hockey League Winter 2011-12

We are now accepting registration for the Winter League. The season will run from January through April and provide fun, development, and plenty of ice time for all participants. This league is a recreational in-house youth hockey program for kids aged 4-14. We also have lowered our prices for all age levels. Please review the "Youth League Flyer" for full details regarding our program.

Mite Program:

Beginning this Winter, Glacier Youth Hockey will offer both the cross-ice league as well as the standard full-ice league. The cross-ice will continue to follow the guidelines set forth from USA Hockey and the ADM (American Development Model). This program will be better suited for all players aged 4-6 years old. The players will have 1 practice every week and 1 cross-ice game on the studio rink. All players will be separated onto teams. The emphasis will be on skill development and enjoyment. By having practices and games on the studio rink, all players will be more engaged and more involved in all aspects of the game. This is the perfect program for all players just starting out. We encourage all parents to visit the USA Hockey website dedicated for this program to learn more: www.admkids.com.
