Hockey provides a wonderful opportunity for youth to experience the excitement and accomplishment of sport through competition. Players gain first hand experiences that will service them throughout their lives. Your child will accomplish goals with their teammates. They will experience learning and the satisfaction of personal development.. Without realizing it, they will learn problem-solving, strategic thinking, and how to analyze and deal with complex situations. Additionally, lifelong friendships are formed among players and families. Youth Hockey Summer Day Camp2009 Camp Sessions (revised 6/12)

The league is no-contact, runs through the summer months, and is specifically designed to enable players to keep their conditioning level high and their skills sharp through the summer months. The league's fast paced, high tempo, end-to-end action is a great way to play the game. Players who may not typically be the goal scorers, get the puck more often and often have more opportunities. In addition, the goalies see alot of more breakaways and prime scoring opportunities. Each player receives an abundance of ice time and the chance to develop various offensive and defensive skills they might not get the chance to during the Winter and Spring schedule.

This program follows USA Hockey Cross-Ice format and meet on Saturdays at 9:50AM-10:50AM. All participants will receive a jersey (1st session) and will be taught basic hockey skills the first 25 minutes of the class, followed by a 30 minute cross-ice (small-area) game. One of the benefits of playing small-area games is that players get more "touches" of the puck, have a ton of scoring opportunities, and learn to make quick decisions with and without the puck. The game is a lot of fun and is geared for beginners. Cost for this program is $195, includes 10 classes and professional training.
